Lalena Castro

Lalena is the founder of K&L Brown Behavioral Health Services

Lalena discovered her passion for Behavioral and Mental Health 14 years ago when her mother passed away due to mental illness. Although Lalena had an extensive background in the Medical and Administrative fields, she obtained a degree in Mental Health Services in 2015. Lalena is also the Co-Founder of BTH (Beyond the Horizon) Mental Wellness Center that also offers Community resources, psychosocial classes, and mental health counseling services. Aside from owning several Behavioral Health Agencies, Lalena was also the Co-Owner and Vice President of her Family ran business for over 10 years.

Not only does Lalena pride herself in taking care of her family, but she is also dedicated to helping her community. This journey is personal for Lalena, and she plans to dedicate her time and knowledge while making a difference tackling mental health stigmas.

Lalena got to marry her High School love after being apart for 25 years. She also has 3 children, 8 stepchildren, and 4 grandchildren. Family is everything to Lalena. Any free time she has, she spends it with her family and her husband. No matter where they are or what they are doing, Lalena gets joy out of just being in their presence.
